Changing Lives Through Dancing – by David Woodbury Arthur Murray Dance Center of Santa Monica, CA
Here we are in the 4th surge of COVID-19 and we are not out of the woods yet. Perhaps you have been cooped up at home, not getting out and working from home and you are ready to do something new and exciting.
Try social dancing at Arthur Murray for that special ‘something’. Arthur Murray Santa Monica follows the current guidelines and we go the extra mile to make sure you are safe. You have many options of dancing from shadowing with a partner, to no touch dancing, to Ballroom Dancing. We are following the mask rules and all our staff are fully vaccinated!
What will dancing do for you during these times? First, it will make you feel better and get your body moving. You will be surrounded by great music that will make you want to dance. The sheer joy of having a dancing professional teach you and dance with you is amazingly fun!
Dancing puts you in the moment. All the worry that we find when watching the news, reading the paper, or scrolling on our mobile phones can just take our breath away and make our blood pressure soar. Dancing removes you away from stress, fear, and anger.
While dancing, your posture greatly improves. Your balance is renewed, and you regain your stance through working on proper footwork. For the brain, your mind comes alive again. Through memorization of patterns, leading and following, floor craft through guiding across the dance floor stimulate the mind, heart and soul.
As an Arthur Murray professional instructor for decades, well, dancing is just plain fun, fun, fun, and more fun. You can laugh from the depths of your soul and feel the magic of the music through your dancing. The connection and partnership you experience while dancing is transforming.
As we all heal from this pandemic, plan your “comeback” and dance with us at Arthur Murray. Calling is the “first step”, coming through the front door is the “second step” and you are on your way! Walk in and Dance Out!
Love to you all,
