Week 30 7-24-20 “Come Back to Dancing at Arthur Murray”
This year’s theme at Arthur Murray Santa Monica is “See Clearly in 2020, Make all your Dancing Dreams Come True!”. Wow, what a year it has been! Who could have imagined that we would be where we are today in the world, our county, our states, our cities? We could not see the future.
So, what do we have now? We have the present and we still have 157 days left to make 2020 a great year, a prosperous year, a healthy year, a positive year. We still have time to make our dreams come true, to realize and visualize our hopes and follow our visions for success.
What do we do to make the rest of the year great? First, stay safe. Wear a make when outdoors, social distance, wash your hands, and follow all health guidelines to the best of our abilities.
Second, keep our motivation up. I tend to watch too much news and it just overwhelms me. So, I binge watch cooking videos on YouTube Premium (no commercials). I watch lots of comedy shows and try to laugh as much as I can. I Roku (with Joel’s help) the Avengers movies in chronological order.
I exercise, dance, attend mass, listen to great music, read, and try to fill my thoughts with light and not darkness. I look away from fear and look towards hope. I film my latest creations on Facebook from “David’s Kitchen”.
At Arthur Murray, where we are now teaching our online lessons, I think of the future of success in our school. We are filling our calendars with exciting events, dances, classes, and ways to dance during the pandemic.
Let’s do this together. Let’s plan a great rest of the year. Let’s look forward to a day when we may all be together again and prepare by becoming our best selves during these trying times.
Are you overwhelmed? I am too. But I’m moving forward and thinking about the day when we come out the other side of this pandemic.
Come back to dancing at Arthur Murray! You’ll be glad you did!
