No 36 How to Keep you Enthusiasm 9-6-19

October 15, 2019 is my 43rd anniversary with Arthur Murray Dance Centers. I have worn many hats: student, instructor, Guest Director, Counselor, Supervisor, Manager, Franchise, National Guest Director, organizer, producer, speaker, Chamber of Commerce Board member, and I have loved my whole journey.

Some of my friends have been franchisees longer, some have more money, some have more fame, but we all have our own wonderful journey. Everything that has happened in my life up to now has prepared me for who I am now and my desire to live a life of service to others. I have never burned out, and I love having the passion for the planning and organizing and mentoring that I do today.

“Continuity of purpose is one of the most essential ingredients of happiness in the long run, and for most men this comes chiefly through their work.”

– Bertrand Russell (1872 – 1970)

English Mathematician and Philosopher

My own continuity of purpose is now getting my 63-year-old body into the school early, getting the school ready to run, and planning for a success future every day. My happiness truly comes from using my skills and fulfilling my live as an Arthur Murray man.

“It is a hard rule of life, and I believe a healthy one, that no great plan is ever carried out without meeting and overcoming endless obstacles that come up to try the skill of a man’s hand, the quality of his courage, and the endurance of his faith.”

– Donald Douglas (1892 – 1981)

American, Founder Douglas Aircraft Company, later McDonnell Douglas

If you want your life to be easy, expect to live a life where others are always determining your future and you have no control. Want to have a like of passion, creativity, dreams, achievements, then plan on having a life full of challenges. You’ll need a lot of courage. I have finally found out that when you have a giving heart, your energy never gives out for the needs of others never stop. Living a life of service.

“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

– W. Clement Stone (1902 – 2002)

Businessman, Philanthropist and New Thought self-help book author

Believe, let go of your fear. Be a dreamer of the day. Move forward. Find your voice. Stand tall. Be strong.
